Neighbourhood Watch Meetings police presence
The Clerk contacted SY Police only to be advised that the N/hood Watch
Committee had already been in touch with Inspector Cowling. SY Police
have asked the N/hood Watch Committee to give details of meetings
Trinity Gate footpath provision
Information received from DMBC that the footpath construction was
conditioned through the planning process, the responsibility of implementing
the footpath lies with the developer not DMBC. As this has not been
completed, DMBC cannot take issue with the developer.
RESOLVED to respond stating that work is taking place and posts erected
which prohibit residents from walking along the area in question,
also the line of the fence is further out than the original iron fence.
Photographs to be forwarded to DMBC.
Resident’s request for tree planting
The Clerk has forwarded the request on to Blaxton PC as part of the
area suggested is in that parish. The suggestion from the Neighbourhood
Officer is for the resident to contact the Authority personally and
Cllr Lifsey agreed to pass on this information.
Highway issue responses
Following the Highways & Footpath patrol, points raised are being
considered by DMBC.

Updates from Robin Hood Airport & DMBC
RHA advise it is unable to approve the allotment proposal due to
the increased likelihood of bird population because of attractants.
An increase in such wildlife subsequently raises their risk with
regard to bird strikes for arriving and departing aircraft. Thus
after lengthy deliberations with relevant professionals it is with
regret the request is declined.
DMBC is endeavouring to find a solution and, to this end, the planning
officer has been speaking with line manager and ward members. Also
a Re-Audit of Doncaster’s Green Spaces has been completed
and it is clear that Finningley is deficient in allotments, woodland/
nature conservation and public parks.
Cllr Johnson recently attended a discussion at the Civic Office
on the LDF and raised the issue of allotments. It would appear the
only other option would be to include, on the proposals by Messrs
A Mell for a development off Bawtry Road, an area for c12 allotment

To consider a question to DMBC re trial of ‘Bio-diversity Offsetting
Process’ whereby developers who wish a development which has

RESOLVED not to hold an August meeting in 2014, in line with the majority

RESOLVED to respond advising members are not happy with the proposals,
as it is thought they would not be beneficial to Finningley.
|ITEMS FOR NEWSLETTER
A resident had requested an item to take a poll of residents as to
whether or not it is felt the village is now becoming over developed.
This was included on the Agenda but the Chairman advised it was too
late for inclusion into the Newsletter.
RESOLVED to advise the resident that it wasn’t thought appropriate
at this time because future developments already have planning consents.
Thus the parish council cannot stop these development and, in any
event, can only comment and forward observations. Should any further
applications be received, then residents will be contacted.

Posters and letter from Boundary Commission re public consultation
on the number of councillors at DMBC. The Clerk has placed the Posters
